So why Lancaster Pennsylvania? In an area best known for Amish culture and Folk Art, anything Modern is both a bizarre anomaly and a welcome alternative. Our space is intended to be a great new destination for Modern collectors and appreciators, as well as a needed exception to the prevailing traditional style of the area.

METROPOLIS is proud to be part of the burgeoning Gallery Row section of Historic Downtown Lancaster, nestled between Pennsylvania School Of Art & Design, legendary music venue The Chameleon Club, The Fulton Opera House and a half-dozen fine art galleries, all along a 3-block stretch of Prince Street. The monthly First Friday event on Gallery Row typically draws thousands every month, and has been growing by leaps and bounds. On the First Friday of every month, METROPOLIS debuts a new exhibit of original fine art as well as new acquisitons of furniture, toys and other decor. This event is always open to the public and draws patrons from all over the country.
